Node 605 Overview
For a full video overview of the Node 605 be sure to check out our video below.

The Node 605 follows the sleek design we see from many HTPC cases. The actual dimensions of the case are 445 x 164 x 349 mm (W x H x D), which makes it one of the large HTPC cases we have seen lately. The size allows it to fit ATX motherboards, larger video cards and ATX power supplies. Currently the case is only available in black.

The front of the case is made of brushed aluminum and look great. If you are going to have this in your home theater it is going to look great. The front of the case remains pretty clean except for a power button and small Fractal Design logo on the right.

So where are your front connections etc? The bottom part of the front of the case actually slides down to reveal all of your connections. On the right side you have a card reader that supports compact flash, SD and micro SD card. There are also two USB 3.0 ports, audio connections and a Firewire connection. On the left side is the slim-line optical drive slot.

On each side of the case are large ventilated sections. The section that is closest to the front on each side has a 120mm fan included. The right side of the case also has a small switch on it. It is actually a fan controller that supports up to three fans and has a high and low speed setting.

On the back of the case there is room for two smaller 80mm fans above the motherboard. Since this case does support a full sized ATX motherboard you have seven expansion slots and your power supply will be placed below the motherboard. Before we get inside if we look at the bottom of the case we can see two large feet and two smaller ones.
