For some time it seemed we got away from that concept with the glass front panels, but many people actually prefer performance over looks. That is why Fractal Design is launching their Torrent PC case today. The whole idea of the Torrent is to provide the highest possible airflow out-of-the-box with support for high-end hardware. They look to deliver on that promise with a total of 5 included fans, a large open front grill and full bottom intake, and support for full E-ATX motherboards. The Torrent comes in the typical box we’ve seen from Fractal Design for a while now. Just a normal cardboard box with a sketch of the case on one side with the specifications listed. On the opposite side there is an exploded view of the case with the different parts listed.
Opening the box up we can see that the case is nicely protected and our accessories and incorporated into the box as well. As far as accessories go you get fan brackets for the front of the case, a box of accessories (mounting hardware & cable ties), and a user’s guide.
