At Computex G.Skill was showing off a new range of Trident Z5 DDR5 memory modules. Much like their DDR4 offerings they will be offering DDR5 in both their Royal and Royal Elite series. The designs are very similar to their DDR4 counterparts, but have been updated a bit.
Starting on the high-end is the G.Skill Trident Z5 Royal Elite RGB DDR5. These modules will feature the same crystal RGB diffuser we’ve seen from G.Skill in the past, but the design of the actual heatspreaders has been updated. The design is quite unique, what do you think? It looks like G.Skill will offer the modules in both gold and silver flavors, although these kits will likely be available in limited quantities. No word on pricing or availability, but likely you’ll see them later this year.
Up next is the more basic version of these modules, which are the G.Skill Trident Z5 Royal DDR5. These have a more simple heatspreader design that does not have a design on it, just the text “Trident Z5 Royal” and you have the same crystal RGB diffuser at the top. These modules will be available in both gold and silver versions.
Finally we have the G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB DDR5. These modules feature a more normal RGB diffuser that goes across the top of the modules. Unlike the Z5 Royal memory, this memory has a black bar that goes across the heatspreaders. The heatspreaders themselves will also be available in gold and silver finishes.
