Lighting & Software
When you install this kit and power your system on you’ll see the crystalline light bar light up with RGB lighting, it is quite impressive!
G.SKILL has updated their RGB control software since that last time we saw it. The new look and options are quite nice and don’t feel like they are just a skin of ASUS’s Aura Sync. You have the ability to control each DIMM individually and with that all eight of the RGB LEDs individually. One thing that is nice is that you can choose a color from the color wheel, enter it via RGB code or even HEX code. The software has a handful of great lighting effects and you can switch up the speed of each of these effects too. The software also has four different profiles.
The crystalline light bar really sets off these modules and you can’t help but just sit and admire them. These will definitely set off any build you add them to.
The light bar is also made to disperse and refract light so it should help light up the inside of your case. You can see just how well it does this as you can see the lighting on our graphics card.
