GALAX has just unveiled their Hall of Fame (HOF) Extreme PCI-Express 4.0 M.2 NVMe solid state drive. Based off the Phison PS5018-E18 controller, this is a second-generation Gen4 solid state drive which means its performance is near the limits of PCI-Express 4.0. GALAX says the drive will have sequential read and write speeds of 7000 MB/s and 6850 MB/s respectively.

The speeds are consistent with other Gen4 drives that are making use of the Phison PS5018-E18 controller. The drive features a premium design with a white PCB and housing as well as a mirrored heatsink with the Hall of Fame logo embedded inside of it. GALAX will be offering the drive in 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB versions. Pricing and availability were not mentioned.
