Xbox Series X 1 TB Seagate SSD expansion could cost $220, says rumor

Microsoft has just announced the price of the Xbox Series X, along with the release date and pre-orders. In line with the multiple Xbox leaks, there is one that has information on the price of the expansion SSD for the Xbox Series X.

The custom expansion SSD which will be made in partnership with Seagate was announced at the Xbox Series X reveal event. Now, Twitter user Idle Sloth has found a listing with the price of the 1TB Xbox Series X SSD expansion made by Seagate. It looks like the disk will be priced at $219.99. Take a look:

The drive will be a custom NVMe based storage solution, made to leverage the maximum possible performance from an external storage solution. It’s a great option for those looking for spare storage at launch, but the price might have some potential buyers looking at other options.

While this SSD will give the performance advantage, users can buy at least 4 times as much storage for around the same price, which is certainly a problem on Microsoft’s end for the pricing of this very niche device.
