As GeForce NOW gets an update, Apple users seem to be quite excited about the upcoming GeForce NOW 2.0.40 update as MacBooks, iMacs, as well as Mac Minis, will now be able to support the app. Those who have membership gift cards will be able to redeem those for membership of RTX 3080 or a membership reward for the Guild Wars 2 Heroic Edition. In addition to this, the update allows for 14 new game titles to be included in the service.
We can see that this week Amazon’s Lost Arc has taken the gamers’ internet by storm. The new MMORPG was released last year and had an average critical score of 81% on Metacritic. It allows the gamers to embark on their own adventure and explore the vastness of Arkesia. PvE and PvP content is available for all players. With GeForce NOW update, a stream quality of up to 1600p will be maintained throughout on all MacBooks. As for the iMacs, the stream quality can reach and stay at 1440p.
As part of the new update, the new addition of membership cards is great. Memberships can now be gifted as digital gift cards with varying options of two, three, or six months. When you are redeeming a gift card you will be given a choice of an RTX membership or a Priority membership. Customers can choose their memberships based on their personal preferences.
One other addition coming with the update is the Streaming Statistics Overlay for users which allows for server-side rendering framerates. This overlay provides three different modes of Standard, Compact and OFF. They are easy to switch between using the Ctrl + N keys. For more convenience, members will be able to log in using the same browser tab on play.geforce now.com.
