Apparently someone has managed to buy a Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 Gaming OC graphics card in Hong Kong. This comes 2 weeks before the official release of the card, which typically never happens. Sometimes we see pre-orders show up maybe a day before the launch, but 2 weeks could signal that NVIDIA board partners have a large stock of cards waiting for customers.

Sadly the person who was able to purchase this card will not be able to use it. NVIDIA has yet to release a driver that offers full functionality and performance for the card. This driver will not be available to the public until October 12th, when the card officially launches.

This card will ship with with a quad-8-pin to 16-pin power adapter, just like all RTX 4090 cards. It also appears that this Gigabyte version of the card comes with two different support brackets and mounting screws. The GeForce RTX 4090 makes use of the AD102 GPU that features 16384 CUDA cores and 24 GB of GDDR6X memory.
