Gigabyte X99-UD4 Motherboard Review

Included Software & Features
The first feature that I want to point out is the actual lighting on the motherboard. Like most motherboards these days the PCB isolation of the sound solution lights up. Gigabyte has also added a light on the PCH heatsink that lights up yellow.

One really cool feature is the lights on the I/O shield. You plug it directly into the board and you will notice it turn on when you system is powered on. I’ll let the photo below do it justice. The I/O shield LEDs and the audio solution LEDs can be turned on and off via Gigabyte’s ambient LED app.

Gigabyte has a an entire suite on motherboard companion apps. They all fall under Gigabyte’s “APP Center”. I really wish I would have been able to download them all at once rather than one-by-one from Gigabyte’s website.

Gigabyte’s EasyTune software has everything you need to fine tune your system and overclock it.
