Gigabyte’s new PCIe 4.0 M.2 Adapter is Capable of 15GB/s

It seems like PCI-Express 4.0 M.2 SSDs have been one of the most popular things this year at Computex. These new drives are capable of 5GB/s sequential read speeds. Well Gigabyte wanted to take that even further with their new AIC Gen4 SSD! It seems they have two different versions, one is under the AORUS brand and the other is just a plain Gigabyte one.

This solid state drive is basically a PCI-Express 4.0 expansion card with four M.2 NVMe drives installed on it. The drives are set in RAID configuration, which allows them to achieve the staggering speed.
