Usage & Final Thoughts on the Glorious Model O3 Wireless Mouse
I’ve been using the Model O3 Wireless for the past couple of weeks and I’ve really been enjoying it. When it comes to comfort and performance if you’ve used a Model O mouse in the past from Glorious you are going to like this mouse as well. The overall shape of the mouse is going to give you great ergonomics and the feel of the mouse clicks and scroll wheel are pretty good overall.
While not the lightest mouse out there I had no problem with the weight of 66 grams. Even though I had been using a lighter mouse previously this mouse didn’t seem to drag or anything like that. If anything I really would have liked to have seen some type of texture on the sides of the mouse for a better grip. Wireless performance was really good and it was definitely nice having that 8000 Hz polling rate.
Now of course where this mouse sets itself apart from other mice is with the InfinitePlay swappable battery system. The mouse ships with two swappable batteries and a charging station. When you are running low on battery you’ll get a visual indication on the mouse and on the charging station. You can easily swap the battery out, and the best part is that the mouse won’t disconnect at all. That is because it still has a built-in battery too. So you essential “downtime” is about a second. This sure beats having to either plug your mouse in (and get drag from a cable) or put your mouse on a charging base for a few minutes to fast charge it back up.
Talking about the charging base, besides just charging the batteries it acts as a place to install the USB dongle so it is away from your PC for the best performance. There are also the indication LEDs on it, which are a lot easier to reference than looking down at my mouse.
Overall I think Glorious has put together a really cool system here with this mouse and the swappable batteries. The ease of it all can’t be understated. There is however a cost to all of this. Right now the mouse is selling for $159.99 at our favorite online retailer, which makes it a bit more expensive than other similarly spec’d competitors (of course they don’t have swappable batteries). So it is up to you if you really want to pay the extra cost for a swappable battery system. Overall ThinkComputers gives the Glorious Model O3 Wireless Mouse a 9 out of 10 score.

– Comfortable design
– Swappable battery system
– Mouse does not disconnect when you are swapping batteries
