Google’s $79 VR Headset Ready For Pre-Order

It looks like you will soon be able to get your hands on Google’s $79 VR headset, the Daydream View as pre-order for the device just opened up. Pre-orders are available now and the device will land in stores November 10th.

Google Daydream View

Google unveiled the Daydream View last month at a press event. The headset is definitely made to compete with Samsung’s Gear VR, as it uses your smartphone. It is different as it is wireless and has a soft fabric feel. Google says that you’ll have access to VR-friendly versions of YouTube, Street View and Google Play Movies. There will also be VR games and apps available from Hulu, The New York Times, and more!

At launch you will not find a lot of phones that are Daydream-ready. The newly released Google Pixel and Pixel XL devices will work with the Daydream VR and the ZTE Axon 7 also will work. Google says there will soon be Daydream-ready phones from Samsung, HTC, Huawei, LG, Asus and Alcatel.

You will be able to buy the Daydream View from the Google Store as well as Verizon and Best Buy.
