MSI announced their GTX 970 Gaming 4G Golden Edition graphics card not that long ago, but when visiting with them at CES 2015 we were able to get our hands on the card to really check it out. The reason MSI calls this card the golden edition is that the entire heatsink is made of pure copper!
The front of the case also has a different design with a black and golden shroud covering the cooler. The card itself has a clock speed of 1102 MHz. It of course features MSI’s Military Class 4 components including Solid Cap, Hi-c CAP and super ferrite core chokes.
Flipping the card over you will also notice a surprise, it has a blackplate with the MSI Dragon logo. This is unique as most GTX 970 versions to not ship with backplates. This card is very limited edition and is actually currently sold out.
