Hands On With The World’s Thinnest Convertible Laptop The Lenovo Yoga 900s

Since launching their Yoga series a few years ago Lenovo has been bringing the size of their Yoga notebooks down. The YOGA 900S is beautifully slim and noticeably lighter than previous models at 12.8 mm and 999 g with a new carbon fiber construction.

The industry leadiong carbon fiber design protects the laptop and makes it extremely light. The 900s weighs in at only 2.2 lbs and is 0.5″ thick! The 900s features a 12.5-inch QHD (2560×1440) display, up to an Intel Core m7 processor, up to 8GB of memory, and PCI-Express storage up to 512GB.

Even in that small size you get quite a lot of battery life. Lenovo is claiming 10.5 hours of video playback at 200 nits (about 80% brightness) with WiFi off. That is more than enough for a long flight! The system will ship with Windows 10 Home. Lenovo has gone with some pretty cool color choices one the 900s, the one we were shown had a black chassis with gold keys.

About 10 years of computer experience. Been messing around with electronics since I was 5, got into computers when I was in highschool, been modding them ever since then. Very interested in how things work and their design.
