SanDisk knows storage being a leader in the market, especially when it comes to solid state drives. They introduced their Extreme 500 solid state drive last year and at CES they are launching the Extreme 510, which adds water and dust resistance.
The first thing you will notice about the Extreme 510 is its small and compact design. This makes it very easy to carry with you or throw in backpack pocket. The 480 GB version, which is launching at CES will have sequential read and write speeds of 430 MB/s read and 400 MB/s write. The drive is specifically designed for photographers and videographers who need a reliable and superfast storage solution.
The Extreme 510 features a rubber bumper all around it for protection and has an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance. So you can get it wet and not have to worry about destroying your data. SanDisk Extreme 510 Portable SSD stands up to hazards such as rain, spills and rough, dusty trails, while also cushioning against falls. The 480 GB launched today with a price of $249.
