An online video comparing the new ROG Ally and Steam Deck portable gaming systems was recently shared, showcasing the distinctions between the two.
ElAnalistaDeBits compiled a comprehensive comparison video, delving into the performance, battery life, display quality, and loading times disparities between the ROG Ally and Steam Deck. The video showcased these differences while running various games like Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy, Elden Ring, Diablo IV, Resident Evil 4, and Grand Theft Auto V.
As expected, due to its impressive specifications, the ROG Ally appears to outperform the Steam Deck, offering a genuine portable PC gaming experience. However, considering its higher price, the Valve portable console might still be the preferable option for budget-conscious players.
As previously mentioned, it comes as no surprise that the ASUS ROG Ally outperforms the Steam Deck, given its impressive specifications. The console boasts a Ryzen Z1 Extreme – 8 Core, 16 Thread (3.30 GHz) CPU, an RDNA 3 12-core (2.8 TFLOPS) GPU, and 16GB LPDDR5 Dual Channel RAM, all contributing to its superior performance. Additionally, the ASUS ROG Ally’s 7” Full HD 16:9 display with a 120Hz refresh rate enhances the gaming experience on the go, which is quite a contrast to the Steam Deck’s limited 1280×800 resolution and 60Hz refresh rate.
