HYTE Revolt 3 Mini-ITX Case Review

HYTE Revolt 3 Overview

Taking a first look at the Revolt 3 we can see that HYTE has gone with the skinny tower design we’ve seen on other Mini-ITX cases. We received the white version of the case, but it is also available in black as well. For those wondering the official dimensions of the case are 253 x 178 x 409mm (DxWxH).

Starting at the front of the case we have an all-metal panel (all of the panels are metal) that has rather large square cut-outs for ventilation. Behind these holes is a filter, which also has square cut-out in it. Towards the bottom of the case we do find out buttons and connections. There is a USB-C port, two USB 3.0 ports, a large power button, and a small 3.5mm audio combo connection.

Moving over to the sides of the case they both have the same ventilated design. It seems HYTE is definitely more concerned with airflow and performance over flashy looks. We’ve seen other ITX cases opt for tempered glass panels on the sides. Also on each side is a small aluminum bar that pops out by pressing it in. This is meant to be a holder for your headphones. I really like that this is on both sides as people might have their case either on the left of right side of their monitor.

Coming around to the back of the case we of course have another ventilated panel, but you will notice a cut-out at the bottom. Here you’ll find an area to route all of your cables as well as a ATX power connection and power switch.

Finally we come to the top of the case, which is of course ventilated as well. There is a handle built into the case that is released by pressing down on it. The handle feels pretty heavy duty and HYTE tells us it can support up to 30 lbs, which is more than enough for a mini-ITX build.
