HYTE Revolt 3 Mini-ITX Case Review

Final Thoughts

Here we are with another mini-ITX case and I have to say I am really impressed, especially considering this is HYTE’s first real retail product. We’ve seen so many “mini-ITX towers” as I call them and this one is executed quite well. I think when it comes to these type of cases two things need to happen. They need to offer adequate cooling (especially for new CPUs and GPUs) and they need to be easy to build in.

Let’s talk about cooling first. The Revolt 3 does not come with any fans, but is really geared towards AiO cooling (for the CPU) and is one of the few mini-ITX cases that will actually support up to a 280 mm radiator quite easily. The radiator door is such a simple thing, but makes installing your radiator so much easier than what we’ve seen on other cases. If you plan to use an AiO (which I would suggest) you should be pretty good overall on cooling as a 240 or 280 mm AiO should handle most CPUs these days. HYTE went with all ventilated panels on on this case, which I actually prefer over say tempered glass panels. We’ve seen small cases with tempered glass panels and they typically have cooling issues. These panels will help with GPU cooling as well. If you wanted to add more cooling to this case you do have the ability to add two 80 mm fans, but that will cut down GPU support to 320 mm.

Out of all of the mini-ITX cases that I’ve reviewed over the past few years the Revolt 3 has been the easiest to build in. All of side panels on the case easily come off. During the entire build process I did not feel like things were cramped at all, and I even was able to install a pretty large graphics card. If there was anything I would complain about it would be that the 8-pin EPS cable from the power supply is a bit short, it just makes it into the connector on your motherboard. This case also has support for a single 3.5-inch hard drive and two 2.5-inch solid state drives so if your motherboard has two M.2 slots you could theoretically have 5 hard drives in such a small system.

HYTE is going to be making much more than just cases as they’ve announced some really cool products at CES 2022. With that they have started a HYTE xP program where you can earn points towards free products, discounts, and more! Two of the products you can earn are the desk mat you’ve seen throughout this review and a pretty cool HYTE t-shirt! You can sign up for HYTE xP here!

Some other nice additions to this case is the handle and the headphone holders, both of which are very well made. The handle of course allows you to easily pick up your system and this is perfect for taking your PC with you to a friends house or LAN event. The headphone holder is of course great and it is really thoughtful that one pulls out from each side of the case.

Right now you can pick up the HTYE Revolt 3 with the 700W power supply at our favorite online retailer for $199.99 and the case only version for $99.99. I think these prices are very fair. If you are looking for a mini-ITX case that is easy to build in and can support AiO’s the HYTE Revolt 3 is definitely the case for you! It is a case that I would recommend to anyone! So with that we give the HYTE Revolt 3 a 9 out of 10 score and our Recommended Award!
