HYTE X50 PC Case Overview

Taking a first look at the HYTE X50 I am not sure how to explain it. To me its a mix between an older PC case, but also something futuristic. It think it has a lot to do with the rounded edges on the case itself. As far as size goes I would all this a medium-sized mid tower, the official dimensions are 85mm (H) x 510mm (L) x 255mm (W). We received the Snow White version of the case which is of course all white, but you can also get it in Pitch Black, Wild Cherry, Match, Astral Orange, Strawberry Milk, and Taro Milk colors.

Starting at the front of the case we have a completely mesh front. The view from the front really makes those rounded edges stand out. The “mesh” on the front is actually small holes, which is worth mentioning as there is no filter behind it. I do feel these holes are small enough that you are not going to have debris fly in your case. And of course the less interference we have here means better airflow overall.

Pulling up on the front of the case from the bottom it will easily come right off to reveal the cooling bracket. This cooling bracket supports three 120 / 140mm fans as well as radiators up to 360mm (105mm thick).

Moving up to the top of the case you’ll find your buttons and connection which include a large power button, a USB 3.2 gen 2×2 Type-C port, two USB 3.2 gen 1 Type-A ports, and a combination headphone / microphone jack. The rest of the top of the case is rather interesting as most of it is taken up by glass that is actually part of the main side panel of the case. This is because we have a single piece of laminated acoustic glass which is curved to go from the side of the case to the top of the case.

If we take a look at the main side of the case we get a glimpse at that side panel which is going to show off all of your hardware inside. From this side of the case we can also see that we do have these really nice feet which are going to lift the case off the ground for better airflow for bottom-mounted fans.

On the bottom of the case you will find a removable filter which is held into place with magnets.

The opposite side of the case is all ventilated and makes use of the same type of design as the front of the case.

Moving around to the back of the case we can see that towards the top of the case is actually where our power supply is going to be mounted. Then we have our motherboard mount, a fan mount, and more ventilation. The interesting thing about the ventilation is that it makes use of a louvered blade design which deduces exhaust impedance by slicing through hot air while reinforcing chassis rigidity. If you are wondering the rear of the case supports a single 120mm fan.
