The race for the next generation of CPUs is getting hotter, with more and more leaks coming in every day. Today, we have a new CPU appearance in the wild. The Intel Core i9-10850K was just spotted on Geekbench, and it looks like a promising offering from Intel. Read on!
Just earlier this week, we had reported about the Intel Core i9-10910 making an appearance on Geekbench, an Intel SKU that is likely to end up in the 2020 iMac refresh. Following that, we now have a Geekbench appearance from the Intel Core i9-10850K, a 10-core CPU with 20 threads. The listing was posted by Twitter user @TUM_APISAK, The chip will run at a base frequency of 3.60 GHz with a maximum frequency of 5.17 GHz. Check out the full Geekbench listing:
It sits below Intel’s current offering, the Core i9-10900K, and is thus expected to be a more affordable addition to the i9 family. It is clocked at 100 MHz lower than the i9-10900K, as well.
All clues point to a lower debut price. There’s some chance that Intel could aim for $400, or lower with this one if it wants to be aggressive. That is if it comes to retail, of course. This could very well be an OEM-only SKU, so let’s wait for more details to show up!
