Intel Tiger Lake Xe GPU Benchmarked – Beats Nvidia GeForce MX350

Intel never impressed anyone when it comes to its integrated graphics. But finally, things are going to be changed soon. Intel’s Core i7-1165G7 Tiger Lake processor has been spotted in a leaked benchmark. Tiger Lake is the code name for Intel’s next-generation mobile processor which will succeed Ice Lake. The Geekbench score shows the next-gen integrated graphics from Intel outperform the GeForce MX350 from Nvidia.

In the Geekbench 4 OpenCL benchmark, Intel’s Xe integrated graphics managed to score 59,845 while Nvidia MX350 scored 59,828. This may not be a huge lead over Nvidia’s discrete graphics but considering Intel’s previous track record, Tiger Lake integrated GPU surely impressed us all. GeForce MX350 is a mobile GPU announced by Nvidia just a few months ago. It is based on older Pascal graphics architecture featuring 32 texture mapping units, 5 streaming multiprocessors, and 16 render output units.

According to Rogame, who is a very active leaker on Twitter, Intel Core i7-1165G7 iGPU has 96 execution units (EU) and is clocked at 1.3GHz. Not to forget the Intel CPU is rated with a 15W base TDP while MX350 is offered in 15W and 25W variants. We have recently seen Intel showing Battlefield V running on the Xe-powered Tiger Lake laptop. It managed a solid 30 frames per second on high settings at 1080p resolution.

Intel is expected to ship its 11th-gen mobile processors to the manufacturers soon and we will see impressive gaming performance from upcoming ultrabooks with no discrete graphics. AMD are you watching?
