Intel’s Pentium Silver and Celeron Jasper Lake lineup gets detailed

Intel recently took the wraps off its Tiger Lake chipsets, the 11th generation of its Core chipsets. With a new branding in place, Intel is trying to do everything it can to avoid damage from its 7nm delays. It has more 10nm processors in the works, and we now have details on what’s coming next.

The leak comes from FanlessTech and details the SKUs in Intel’s upcoming Pentium Silver and Celeron Jasper Lake entry-level processors. These will be based on the Tremont cores, or the low-power x86-64 cores from the Lakefield platform. There’ll also be a low powered iGPU. Here are all six SKUs:

DESKTOP SKUs (10W TDP)

✓ Pentium Silver N6005, 4C/4T @ 2.0GHz up to 3.3GHz (max quad core burst), UHD Graphics, 4M L2 cache.

✓ Celeron N5105, 4C/4T @ 2.0GHz up to 2.8GHz (max quad core burst), UHD Graphics, 4M L2 cache.

✓ Celeron N4505, 2C/2T @ 2.0GHz up to 2.9GHz (max dual core burst), UHD Graphics, 4M L2 cache.

MOBILE SKUs (6W TDP)

✓ Pentium Silver N6000, 4C/4T @ 1.1GHz up to 3.1GHz (max quad core burst), UHD Graphics, 4M L2 cache.

✓ Celeron N5100, 4C/4T @ 1.1GHz up to 2.8GHz (max quad core burst), UHD Graphics, 4M L2

✓ Celeron N4500, 2C/2T @ 1.1GHz up to 2.8GHz (max dual core burst), UHD Graphics, 4M L2 cache.

FanlessTech says these chips will debut in low-end laptops and fanless mini desktops in early 2021. It looks like they’re set to be decent offerings in the entry level segment, and AMD might have to play catch-up.
