Final Thoughts on the IQUNIX MQ80 Keyboard
We have looked at keyboards from IQUNIX in the past, and they have done quite well in our testing, so when I got my hands on the MQ80, I was really hoping for the best. Labeled as a flagship product by IQUNIX, this can be a bit risky unless you really put in the work to make a superior product. I can confidently say that they have done just that – I absolutely love the MQ80. While the 80% form factor may not be for everyone, especially those needing a full ten-key setup, the inclusion of the Function keys, arrows, and most of the “formatting” keys really makes this a great keyboard for those of us that prefer a keyboard on the smaller side of things.
The build quality of the MQ80 is top-notch. The CNC’d aluminum base provides a sturdy foundation to build upon, and the multi-layer sound dampening design, paired up with the Gold Red Kailh switches and PBT keycaps further solidifies the feel and sound of the MQ80. The sleek design language doesn’t scream at you with bright color choices, but instead offers a subtle, yet profound professional look that will look great both at home and in the office. And since the MQ80 offers wired, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, you can use it in a multitude of locations without any worry.
Priced at $171.99 at our favorite online retailer, the MQ80 is right in line with previous IQUNIX keyboard with similar features, so it’s good to know that we aren’t really paying extra just because they market this as a flagship design. I have zero complaints about the IQUNIX MQ80. Not a single one. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that I am awarding it a 10 out of 10, and the Recommended Award.
