Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7 Carbon Review

While most people know Lenovo of their ThinkPad line of business laptops, they also have a great line of everyday laptops in their IdeaPad line. The whole idea behind the IdeaPad line is that they have a device for just about anyone. Today we are taking a look at the IdeaPad Slim 7 Carbon which features a slim and light design, impressive OLED display, Ryzen 7 5800U mobile processor, and a carbon fiber reinforced chassis. Intel basically dominates the laptop market so it will be interesting to see what the Ryzen 7 5800U can do and how awesome the OLED display looks like in person! Let’s jump in!

Packaging

The IdeaPad Slim 7 Carbon comes in a pretty nondescript box that just says Lenovo on the front. Flipping the box over there is a sticker on the back that lets us know the IdeaPad Slim 7 is indeed inside and the specifications of our specific unit.

Getting everything out of the box you’ll find the IdeaPad Slim 7 Carbon, power adapter, a dongle, and a small getting started guide. The dongle is a Type-C that gives you a USB-A port, HDMI, and D-sub connections. The laptop comes with Lenovo’s 65W power adapter which is extremely light and small.
