Lenovo ThinkPad P14s Gen 4 Review

General Usage

One thing that was nice to see on the ThinkPad P14s was the OLED display. Having such a vibrant display for not only working on media, but also consuming it is great. The resolution of 2880 x 1800 gives you quite a lot of room to work with too, especially in modeling or designing workflows. By default the Windows scaling is set at 200%, but I would bring it down to 150% for most applications and 100% for design applications. For multi-tasking you can easily have two windows side-by-side with proper scaling.

Using the keyboard and trackpad on this laptop was a good experience. Lenovo is one of the best when it comes to their laptop keyboards and the P14s is no exception to that. There are two levels of brightness for the backlighting on the keyboard, but it really is not all that noticeable unless you are in a really dark area.

When it comes to the built-in camera on the laptop it will shoot video at 2560 x 1440 at 30 FPS and take photos at 3.1 MP (2560 x 1440). The camera will get the job done for simple Zoom and Skype calls. Here is a photo I took with the camera.

And a video shot at 1440p. This will give you a good idea of video and audio quality.
