Lexar SL660 BLAZE Portable Solid State Drive Review

Lexar SL660 BLAZE Overview

The SL660 BLAZE will definitely stand out with its unique design and aluminum construction. For those wondering it has official dimensions of 57.4 x 112.6 x 10.6mm / 1.722” x 3.378 ”x 0.318” and weighs in a 80g. Not the smallest portable solid state drive that we’ve seen, but it is definitely still pocketable.

On the main side of the drive there is a larger Lexar logo and along the bottom it says “Gaming Portable SSD”. On one end of the drive there is an open section that features a diffuser for RGB lighting, which we’ll show you in just a little bit.

On the end of the drive you’ll find the only connection which is a USB-C connection. This drive is a USB 3.2 gen 2×2 drive, but is of course backwards compatible with USB versions and Lexar does include USB-C to USB-A cable in addition to the USB-C cable.
