Lian Li Strimer Plus V2 ARGB Extension Cables Review

Installation & Usage

Getting the Lian Li Strimer Plus V2 cables all connected up is extremely easy. Now if you purchased the 24-pin cable you’ll get the included controller, so all other cables you get will plug into that. If for some reason you just purchased say a GPU cable, Lian Li does provide an adapter cable that allows you to plug the cable into a standard 3-pin ARGB header on your motherboard.

Since we have the controller we plug the controller into power (SATA), use the supplied microUSB cable and connect it to a USB header on our motherboard, plug both cables into the controller, and then plug our normal power supply cabled into the extension cables and then plug them into our motherboard and graphics card.

When you power your system on you’ll see the cables light up quite nicely with RGB lighting. They look quite amazing! By default the effect is going to be the Rainbow Wave.

If you are using Lian Li’s controller you can control the lighting with Lian Li’s L-Connect 3 software. This software should automatically detect the Strimer Plus V2 cables.

The software gives you a handful of different effects, I go over them in the video below.
