Lofree Flow Low-Profile Mechanical Keyboard Review

Setup & Usage

Getting the Lofree Flow up and running is quite easy. You can of course use the included USB cable and use it wired. When you are using the keyboard in wired mode it will also charge the keyboard’s internal battery. When you plug the keyboard into your PC you won’t need to download any drivers or software, it will just work. You will have to turn the keyboard on with the switch on the top-edge of the keyboard.

To switch into wireless mode all you have to do is move the switch on the top edge of the keyboard to wireless (Bluetooth) mode. When you do this you’ll notice the LED indicator on the Caps Lock key flash blue. On your device you should see “Flow84@Fofree” show up as a Bluetooth device. Simply select it and it will pair. I was easily able to pair the keyboard with both my PC as well as my iPhone. The Keyboard supports up to three different Bluetooth connections which can be switched by pressing FN + 1, 2, or 3.

Some other shortcuts you might want to know are:

FN + N: Switch to the Windows layout
FN + M: Switch to Mac layuot
FN + <-: Toggle the ambient lights (steady, breathing, off) FN + ->: Switch the ambient lights colors

When it comes to lighting you have a white backlight around the keys. Lofree is using a diffuser here so it really does look like a single backlight, which is pretty cool. This lighting has four different brightness levels. The ambient lighting is two sets of 3 RGB LEDs which are on the bottom of the keyboard. There are a total of 8 colors you can cycle through and as I mentioned you can have either a steady or breathing effect.
