Testing
Smart Clip and Tab Clip were insanely easy to adhere to my windshield. Inserting a mobile phone into Smart Clip, and tablet into Tab Clip were equally as easy. Once everything was setup, each mount did exactly what you’d expect a mount to do, hold the device in it. Smart Clip and Tab Clip were very stable, and never even thought about falling off of my windshield, even when Tab Clip was holding an iPad (4th Generation), which isn’t a very light tablet.
Usually mobile devices are mounted in the center of the dashboard or by the car’s console. Although, I decided to setup Smart Clip by the driver’s window, and Tab Clip by the passenger window.
At first I was unsure if the mounts would hold up over big bumps, and feared they’d send my devices flying out of the window. Although after a few drives with Smart Clip and Tab Clip, I felt comfortable enough to drive with the windows down. In fact, Smart Clip and Tab Clip held up so well, that when it was time to remove Smart Clip and Tab Clip from my windshield, it took a bit of work to get them off. Despite the work required to remove each mount, neither left behind any residue.
