Mad Catz S.T.R.I.K.E. M Wireless Mobile Keyboard Review

Final Thoughts
It seems when it comes to this keyboard people are divided. There is the gaming crowd that says this keyboard is too small, does not have mechanical keys, etc. And then there is the mobile crowd that says the keyboard is too large, the keys are weird, etc. You have to remember that this keyboard is made to be a mobile gaming keyboard first. If you want a true gaming keyboard Mad Catz has a full line of those. But if you want a mobile keyboard that is made for gamers, this is the best one out there.

Designing something for mobile with gamers in mind is not the easiest thing to do, but I feel that Mad Catz covered the major points. First the keys, while they are not mechanical they have great feedback and are not what you would expect to find on a mobile keyboard. The larger space bar is great for gaming too! The keys are very comfortable and make typing very easy. The caps lock, shift and left control buttons are larger too, which makes them much easier to press. And if you play any FPS type of game you know you use those keys a lot. The keyboard is very solid too and does not move around at all. So if you are in an intense gaming session the keyboard is not going to be moving around on your desk.

Now for those mobile users out there the keyboard is very small. It will easily fit in a backpack and does not take up a whole lot of space on your desk, tray table, or wherever you plan on using it. It is great that you get a nice carrying case and tablet stand with the keyboard too. Mad Catz was able to fit an OFN sensor (trackpad) and multimedia keys on the keyboard somehow. The OFN sensor is great and gives you a mouse too! This is great for navigating menus on tablets and makes it easier to use Android consoles. The keyboard is rechargeable and a full charge will give you around 30 hours usage time.

As I said at the end of the day this is the best designed mobile gaming keyboard that I’ve seen. It covers both the gaming and mobile aspects. Right now you can pick it up at our favorite online retailer for $99. Overall ThinkComputers gives the Mad Catz S.T.R.I.K.E. M Wireless Mobile Keyboard a 9 out of 10 score.
