Microsoft confirms 120 FPS update for Halo Master Chief Collection is coming for Xbox Series X/S

The next-gen consoles are almost here, and with it will arrive new games and remasters. Speaking of the latter, it looks like we will soon be getting to play the crown jewel of Microsoft’s gaming catalog, Halo, in 120 FPS. The company has confirmed that the next-gen Xbox Series X and S will get 120 FPS updates for the Halo Master Chief Collection.

Microsoft confirmed today that the whole collection of Halo games will be fully optimized for its upcoming consoles:

The Master Chief Collection includes Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo: Reach, and Halo 4. This update is expected to introduce improvements similar to as found on the PC versions, which have seen a staggered rollout. The 120 FPS upgrades will come for Campaign as well as Multiplayer modes. The Xbox Series X version will also get 4K support.

The update is arriving on 17 November as a free update for current owners of the game. It will also be available through the Xbox Game Pass.
