Minisforum Announces New Liquid-Cooled AtomMan Mini-PCs Powered By Ryzen 7945HX, 8945HS And Core Ultra CPUs

Earlier this week, Minisforum hosted a dedicated press event unveiling the V3 tablet featuring an AMD Ryzen 8040 CPU. Regrettably, this tablet caters to a pricey niche market, potentially limiting its sales prospects.

Minisforum stands out due to its distinct position as one of the few companies collaborating with both AMD and Intel, continually pushing the boundaries of innovation. In essence, they continue to introduce entirely novel systems and designs, rather than merely fitting new hardware into existing chassis. At a recent event, the company introduced up to four new products and announced the launch of a new sub-brand called AtomMan.

AtomMan UH185 Ultra:
ATOM MAN MINISFORUM MINI PC 1 1

This product made its debut at CES 2024, and now we have the chance to examine it closely. The PC showcases the premium Intel Meteor Lake CPU, identified as the Core Ultra 9 185H, the sole model in the series with a 45W TDP. This setup also incorporates the most advanced specification of integrated Arc GPU, boasting 8 Xe-Cores clocked up to 2.35 GHz.

An outstanding aspect of this product is its built-in 4-inch display, capable of showcasing real-time specifications, clocks, or serving as a voice assistant. Furthermore, the system comes with OCulink and 5 Gbit Ethernet, alongside the choice for WiFi 7 connectivity.
AtomMan UM890WE Mini PC 1

Within the AMD-powered lineup, there are two notable products: UM890WE and HX200G. While the latter has been previously launched, UM890WE introduces a new concept with its cubic Mini-PC design. Powered by an AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS processor, featuring a 45W TDP, this system departs from the typical Mini-PC size with its 3.5-liter capacity chassis.

What really catches attention is the incorporation of a custom water-cooling system, a rarity among Mini-PCs. It’s interesting why the company chose this cooling solution, particularly since a single-fan design would be adequate to cool down this APU.

The system features dual 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports and is equipped with OCulink connectivity. Users can connect up to two USB 4 devices, HDMI 2.1, and DP 1.4 monitors, with the capacity to install up to 64GB of DDR5-5600 memory.

Regarding the release date, Minisforum has not yet confirmed this information.

AtomMan Atom HX200G:
ATOM MAN MINISFORUM MINI PC 4 1

The HX200G, while not a novel offering, has been reintroduced under the AtomMan brand. This PC features AMD’s high-end Ryzen 9 laptop processor, the Ryzen 9 7945HX, with 16 Zen4 cores, coupled with the Radeon RX 7600M XT, an entry-level discrete GPU powered by RDNA3 architecture. We inquired about the possibility of a 7945HX3D version but have not yet received a response.

The HX 200G showcases an advanced cooling system with 8 heat pipes and liquid metal for both the CPU and GPU. Built on the “Dragon Range” AMD platform, it supports PCIe Gen5 SSDs and DDR5 memory. Preorders for this PC will begin on May 20th, as announced by Minisforum.

AtomMan HN149/HN14X Gaming Mini PC:
ATOM MAN MINISFORUM MINI PC 3

Another highlighted product is the HN149 system, which is still categorized as a Mini-PC. However, it presents itself as a very slim system (measuring 396.5×236.4×32.5mm), resembling a laptop without a screen. Despite this distinct design, the company has integrated high-end hardware, including the Core i9-14900HX (the 24-core version) and an RTX 4070 Laptop GPU with a TGP of up to 170W. The system’s cooling system is engineered to handle up to 180W of power, suggesting that the GPU likely operates at a TGP of 140W with an additional 30W from Dynamic Boost, shared with the CPU. The PC is supplied with a 280W power adapter.

The HN149 can support a maximum of 96GB of DDR5-5600 memory and can house up to two PCIe Gen4 SSDs with a capacity of 4TB each. In terms of connectivity, it provides 1 Gigabit Ethernet port, 1 USB 4 port, HDMI 2.1, and an SD card reader. Additionally, users will have access to a WiFi7 network card.

Preorders for this system are scheduled to commence on May 20th, although price information is currently unavailable.
