A New Era for Mionix

Peter Nygren, CEO and Founder of Mionix, described the Avior Air Carbon Fiber as a “comeback” product, emphasizing that it’s more than just an update. The mouse represents a completely new system-on-chip platform, a redesigned body, and the use of lightweight materials, all aimed at creating a special product for discerning FPS gamers.

Redesigned for Precision and Speed

The Avior Air Carbon Fiber introduces a new AVIOR body shape, moving away from the previous balanced hump to a rear-placed hump, or “backloaded” design. This geometry is specifically engineered to enhance control for claw, fingertip, and hybrid grip users during rapid aim adjustments and micro-corrections. The mouse also features separated left and right primary buttons with individual carbon fiber panels, designed to improve tactile feedback and click consistency.

Lightweight Construction and Premium Materials

Each Avior Air Carbon Fiber shell is meticulously crafted from handmade woven carbon fiber, heat-formed and CNC-trimmed for a lightweight yet rigid construction. Weighing in at a mere 42g (±2g) with PTFE dot feet, it’s positioned as a flagship ultralight wireless FPS mouse. The design intentionally omits RGB lighting to prioritize performance, weight, and battery life. Users will receive both PTFE dot feet and full-size tempered glass skates, offering customization for their preferred glide.

Advanced Wireless Technology and Performance

As Mionix’s inaugural wireless gaming mouse, the Avior Air Carbon Fiber is built on Nordic Semiconductor’s nRF54H20 chipset, which powers both the mouse and its dedicated RF dongle. This enables native 8K wireless operation, supporting polling rates from 125 Hz up to 8000 Hz with a minimal response time of 0.125 ms at 8K. The mouse is equipped with the PixArt PAW3950 IR optical sensor, capable of up to 30,000 DPI, 750 IPS tracking speed, and 50G acceleration. Primary clicks utilize Raesha optical-mechanical hybrid microswitches rated for 100 million clicks.

Software and Availability

The Avior Air Carbon Fiber is supported by Mionix Galaxy Web Software, offering comprehensive customization options including DPI, polling rate, button programming, macros, profile management, and lift-off distance adjustments. The software also includes a Surface Quality Analyzer Tool (S.Q.A.T.) for surface analysis and sensor calibration. The mouse is set for pre-order starting May 5, 2026, with deliveries expected in early August 2026. It will retail for $299.99 USD (excluding VAT), with an early bird rebate bringing the price down to $239.99 USD (excluding VAT) until the end of May 2026 or while supplies last.
