Monster DNA Fit Wireless Earbuds Review

Setup & Usage

Getting the DNA Fit Wireless Earbuds set up and ready to use is much like other Bluetooth earbuds so it is pretty simply and straight-forward. When you open up the charging case the earbuds will automatically turn on and go into pairing mode. On your device you’ll go into the Bluetooth settings and you should see “Monster DNA Fit” ready to be paired. Just select it and the earbuds will pair to your device. Now each time you open the charging case the earbuds will automatically pair to your device.

Putting the earbuds on for the first time might be a bit awkward because of the clips. The best way I found to do this is to angle them down and then push the clips up and over your ear. It will take a little bit to get used to the clips, but remember these insure that the earbuds will not fall out of your ears, even in the most intense circumstances. These clips do work too! These have been my gym earbuds for the past few weeks and I’ve taken them out on runs and there has not been one time where they fell out!

So how do these earbuds sound? I have been listening to a variety of different music over the past few weeks as well as podcasts and I have been very impressed with the sound! These earbuds have good bass if you are listening to rap and hip-hop and have a very clear sound for podcasts or taking calls. The earbuds sit pretty tight on your ears which give you some good sound isolation as well.

Talking about sound isolation these earbuds do have active noise cancellation. You can cycle through the different modes on the earbuds by pressing the large button with the Monster logo on it twice quickly. You have ANC (active noise cancellation), transparency, and just a normal mode. ANC mode worked quite well and really does a good job of drowning out the sounds of your environment. Transparency mode allows you to hear things that are pretty close to you. As you cycle through the modes there is a little voice in the earbuds to let you know which mode you are on, so there is no guessing. You can also remove one earbud and it will automatically pause your music so you don’t miss anything if you needed to speak to someone around you. This also makes it so you don’t have to remove both earbuds.

The smaller button on the earbuds allows you to adjust the volume up or down by quickly pressing the button. You can also hold the button down for a couple of seconds to go forward or backwards. Even though the button is much smaller than the main button I found it pretty easy to adjust the volume or cycle through tracks.
