Thermaltake SWAFAN EX12 RGB Fans Review

RGB and ARGB fans are great and can really add to your build. While they do look awesome, installing them can be a pain because for each fan you would not only have a power cable, but also an RGB cable. This meant that you would likely have a cable mess and it just made the installation process all that more complicated. Well earlier this year at CES Thermaltake showed us their ingenious idea that solves this problem. This happens to be their SWAFAN EX12 RGB fans that make use of magnets and pogo connectors which allows for super-easy installation and a single connector that comes off your set of fans. On top of that this fan kit comes with a set of reverse blades so no matter which direction you want the air flowing the fans will still look good! Let’s jump in and see if these fans are the real deal or just some gimmick!

Special thanks to Thermaltake for providing us with the SWAFAN EX12 RGB Fans to review.

Getting everything out of the box we have quite a lot. In the 3-fan kit you are going to get your three fans of course, a set of three reverse blades, three connection cables, controller, mounting hardware, and some lubricant for the fans.
