SWAFAN EX12 RGB Fans Overview
As the name suggests the SWAFAN EX12 fans are 12cm or 120mm fans. Thermaltake also offers these fans in EX14 or 140mm versions as well. We have the white version of the fans, which have an all white frame as well as white rubber dampeners on the corners. The fans have a round frame which houses a white diffuser which your RGB lights are under. The fan blades are also a diffused white.

These fans make use of a hydraulic bearing and spin between 500 and 2000 RPM with a max airflow of 57.11 CFM, max air pressure of 2.39 mm-H2O, and max noise level of 30.5 dB-A.
The interesting thing about these fans is on the frames you’ll find pogo-connector pins and contacts. These of course push through both your power and RGB signal to each fan. Also in the frame are the magnets that allow these fans to simply attach to each other.

Attaching the fans together is as simple as holding them close to each other and letting the magnets do their thing. Just be sure you have the two sides of the pogo connector lined up. Once you have all of the fans connected together you simply connect the connection wire, which also is magnetized.

The included controller is a proprietary Thermaltake controller so you can only use it with 9-pin Thermaltake products. It has 5 inputs for devices, a power connection, USB connection, and dip-switches to tell the controller how many connections you have.
