Overview of the MSI GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Gaming Trio OC Plus

The first thing I noticed about this card compared to the RTX 5080 Vanguard is that it is much smaller and thinner as well. The official dimensions of the card are 338 x 140 x 50 mm. At only 338mm long this card is going to fit in smaller mid towers quite easily.

The main shroud of the card features different angles and materials, which definitely give it an aggressive look. MSI is going with a dark grey, or gunmetal look which I think looks great. Embedded in the shroud are your three cooling fans, which make up part of the Tri Frozr 4 cooling solution. These are MSI’s STORMFORCE fans which feature seven claw textured blades designed to enhance air pressure while circular arc optimizes airflow. At the center of each fan is of course the MSI dragon logo.

Looking at the card from the side we can see the rest of the cooling solution which is made up of two heatsinks, which are connected by multiple heatpipes. MSI makes use of a high-low fin design to enhance airflow and reduce turbulence. The heatpipes are MSI’s core pipes, which have a square-shaped contact area for maximum heat capture in conjunction with the vapor chamber.

On the side of the card that will show if you have a side panel window there is a MSI logo and GeForce RTX logo. Right in the center of the card is your 12VHPWR power connection. As a reminder this card has a TDP of 300W so a 750W power supply or higher is recommended. Right next to the 12VHPWR power connection is a small switch that toggles between silent and gaming mode. These are just fan curves, our card was shipped in silent mode.

The back of the card has a full-coverage metal backplate which is sort of split with half of it having a brushed metal look and the other being more of a matte color. At the end of the card is a cut-out for airflow and there is a MSI Dragon logo logo here. It has a reflective coating on it which looks great.

The actual end of the card has another MSI Dragon logo on it. This will actually light up with RGB lighting and is meant to be seen through the front panel window on your case. It is really awesome to see more companies design elements on the end of the card like this.

Looking at the opposite end of the card we have our connectors which include three DisplayPort 2.1b and a single HDMI 2.1b. As you can see the card is slotted for 2 slots, but with the shroud I would say it is 2.2-2.3 slot so just keep that in mind.
