It seems every two years or so, HyperX updates their Pulsefire Haste mouse, and that tradition carries on, as in this review we are taking a look at the brand new Pulsefire Haste 2 Pro. The Pulsefire Haste 2 Pro is a wireless gaming mouse with multiple connectivity options, great battery life, and more, all wrapped up in a lightweight package. I have been using the previous Pulsefire Haste 2 for nearly two years, and have not once thought about replacing it, until now. It has been reliable, just like the original Pulsefire Haste, and so when I had the chance to look at the latest and greatest Haste 2, I said “Sign me up!”. Are the changes to the Pulsefire Haste 2 Pro enough to claim the throne that is my desk? Let’s find out!

Packaging of the HyperX Pulsefire Haste 2 Pro

The Haste 2 Pro’s retail packaging is nearly identical to that of the Haste 2, as the front of the box features the same overall layout, but in a white and red color scheme. It is here that you can first see that HyperX has moved away from a black or white color option, and narrowed it down to a nice gray color this time around. I will say, the image on the box makes the mouse appear a bit glossy and lighter colored than the actual product inside, which is a matte finish and darker gray.

Multiple callouts and images let you know that the Haste 2 Pro is a 4KHz polling rate gaming mouse with both 2.4GHz and Bluetooth connectivity, and up to 90 hours of battery life. Additional notes highlight the 61g weight, as well as the use of HyperX’s optical switches, RBG lighting, NGENUITY software support, and console and PC compatibility.
