The handful of SK hynix products I’ve had the chance to take a look at have all impressed me, especially their Platinum P41. While that was a NVMe drive, today we will be checking out a portable drive from them. Portable storage is of course incredibly important whether you need fast transfers, a mobile game drive, or even an editing drive. The SK hynix Beetle X31 is a small portable solid state drive that has transfer speeds up to 1050 MB/s, a sleek design, and is now available in capacities up to 2TB. The SK hynix Beetle X31 comes in a nice retail package with a picture of a beetle on the front. This is what the drive is designed after, which you’ll see. We received the 512GB version of the drive, but it is available in capacities up to 2TB.
Getting everything out of the box we have the Beetle X31 drive itself, a protective case, two USB cables (1x Type-C to Type-X, 1x Type-A to Type-C), and instructions.
