be quiet! Silent Loop 3 Liquid CPU Cooler Review

It has been a while since our last AIO review here at ThinkComputers, but we are back, and with a whole new test bench! We will get into the new test bench details a bit later, because the focus of this latest review is the be quiet! Silent Loop 3. Available in 240mm, 360mm, and 420mm versions, the Silent Loop 3 lineup of coolers packs together many of be quiet!’s latest advancements into a single platform. From the use of Silent Wings 4 PWM fans, to RGB pump lighting, and the ability to refill the loop’s coolant with the included extra liquid, the Silent Loop 3 has a lot going for it. Our review sample is of the 360mm flavor, so without any more delay let’s jump right into it.

be quiet!’s box for the Silent Loop 3 is quite plain, but in a good way. A nice black box shows an image of the cooler on the front, with the pump housing’s RGB lighting illuminated to show off that feature.

The back of the box provides some information on the feature highlights of the Silent Loop 3 – great information for those retail shoppers that need additional information about the cooler inside.

The cooler and all accessories come nicely packed in a form-fitting cardboard tray that has a spot reserved for everything inside.

Included with the Silent Loop 3 is an arrangement of installation components for modern AMD and Intel platforms, as well as a physical installation guide.

Additionally, be quiet! also includes a small bottle of coolant that can be used to top off your loop after years of use. This is a really nice addition, as most AIO loops are completely sealed and can become unusable after the liquid inside has evaporated over time. That’s not the case with the Silent Loop 3, as there is a dedicated refill port available for filling the loop back up.
