When it comes to fast portable solid state drives we’ve seen them get smaller and smaller, but now it seems we are finally getting them down to the “flash drive” size. This size makes the drive incredibly convenient as it is quite easy to take with you and you don’t have to worry about bringing a cable. On top that that you are getting quite a lot of storage! Today we are checking out the Patriot Viper PVP30 portable solid state drive, which really is the size of a traditional flash drive, but packs in speeds of up to 1000 MB/s! It also features a dual interface offering both USB-A and USB-C connectivity! Let’s check this drive out and see what it can do!
Special thanks to Patriot Viper for sending us over the PVP30 portable SSD to review!

Packaging of the Patriot Viper PVP30 Portable SSD
The Patriot Viper PVP30 comes in your standard retail package. On the front we get a look at the drive and some of the main features are listed. It also lets us know the capacity, which in our case is 2TB. Patriot does also offer this drive in 1TB and 512GB versions.
Flipping the package over we have some specifications. This drive has rated speeds of up to 1000 MB/s read and write and works on the USB 3.2 gen 2 interface. Of course it is going to be backwards compatible with older USB versions.

When will it be available to buy in the USA? And which physical/online retailers?
