Mushkin has been slowly trying to build their name back up as a solid state drive manufacturer and what better way to do that then come out with a killer drive at a killer price. That is what the ECO2 line is all about, it is going to give you a no-frills drive with great performance that is also affordable. How affordable? The 240GB drive that we are reviewing today is currently selling for 84.99! That makes it only $0.35 per GB! This is the first Newegg exclusive SSD Series from Mushkin. The drive itself is powered by the SandForce SF-2241 controller and makes use of Micron MLC NAND. Will this drive give users the best bang for their buck and get an SSD in their hands for the first time? Read on as we investigate!
Special thanks to Mushkin for providing us with the ECO2 240GB solid state drive to review.

The ECO2 drive comes in a light-weight clamshell package that is open on the front so you can get a good look at the drive itself.
Flipping the package over there is a little bit more information about the drive and it does let you know that the drive has been built from the ground up in the USA.
The package easily opens up and inside you will only find that drive and that is it.
