120mm Fans
The 120mm x 15mm size of the NF-A12x15 fans is a bit more common than the other fans we are looking at, but is still a bit of an odd man out. Most often this size of fan is found on low-profile heatsinks that need to fit into tight places, but we have also seen this size of fan be included in SFF PC cases.
Packaging
Just like the 40mm NF-A4x20 fans, the NF-A12x15 fans come in a nice retail box that features information about the fan on the front cover. Again, with the front panel open, we get a good look at the fan within, and some additional details regarding the features found on these fans.
The NF-A12x15 fans each feature seven fan blades with Noctua’s A-Series design. This design incorporates their Flow Acceleration Channels technology to allow the airflow at the outer regions of the fan blades to speed up, which reduces noise and allows for better efficiency. Aesthetically, we do wish the center of the fan blade assembly was all plastic, and not disrupted by the silver and gold hardware.

200mm Fans
We still remember the days when 80mm fans were all the rage, and a 120mm fan was considered to be huge. Now with 120mm and 140mm fans the standard sizes, 80mm and even 92mm fans seem tiny. While we don’t think 200mm fans are going to show up everywhere anytime soon, and you might be wondering exactly where you might use a 200mm fan, Cooler Master’s latest H500P comes with two installed. If the RGB stylings aren’t your type, then the Noctua NF-A20 line might be a great replacement option.
Packaging
Here we have a bit of a different package design; instead of a box with flaps that open, the 200mm NF-A20 fans come in a “pizza box” style package. Again, the front of the box is very similar to the smaller fans we have taken a look at, while the back has more detailed information regarding the product within.
This time however, the box opens similarly to how a pizza would, giving us a full-frontal view of the fan inside.
Closer Look
Aside from their large size, the NF-A20 fans aren’t much different than their smaller counterparts. Nine blades, each with the flow acceleration channels to aide in efficiency, allow the NF-A20 fans to spin at a maximum of just 800 RPM.
Larger rubber pads are found at each corner of the NF-A20 fans to reduce vibration, which shouldn’t be tough, considering the SSO2 bearing design that Noctua uses for extra stability and durability.
