NVIDIA Has A Live GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Countdown

We’ve talked about the possibility of NVIDIA launching the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti at their “Gaming Celebration” on the 28th. Well all signs point to this being true. If you surf over to GeForce.com you’ll notice a new countdown on their page. This is a live countdown to the event, but if we look a little closer some things stick out…

First look at the background, those are Titanium crystals. If that is not a big enough hint for you see how its says “IT’S ALMOST TIME”, notice how the TI is in bold? If you are still skeptical (we can’t be sure why), take a look at the HTML code of the page, we’ve included a screenshot below.

So yes, the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti will be announced on the 28th! The card is expected to be based on the GP102 silicon, with 3328 activated shader processors. The expected clock speed is somewhere around 1.5 GHz, with a boost all the way up to 1.6 GHz. The card would some somewhere between 30% and 40% faster than the current GeForce GTX 1080. The 28th should be a very interesting day!
