All available rumors have NVIDIA launching their upcoming RTX 40 series in August. We expect that NVIDIA will announce all three cards (RTX 4090, RTX 4080, RTX 4070) on the same day, but it appears their actual release and availability will be spread out. As we reported a couple of days ago NVIDIA will launch the RTX 4090 first and this will be in August. The RTX 4080 will be next launching in September and finally the RTX 4070 in October.
Now this timeframe is not official or confirmed by any major source, so take it with a grain of salt. These dates could easily change as many NVIDIA AIBs have lots of RTX 30 inventory and the last thing they want is for NVIDIA to announce a new generation of cards.
There is also some new news on the RTX 4090 and RTX 4080. It seems while both cards have different GPUs (AD102 & AD103 respectively), the could be using the same board (PG139). The RTX 4090 has SKU designation 330, while the RTX 4080 is 360. It is unclear if this means that the GPUs are pin-compatible, but they are using the same board.
