This contest encourages developers to leverage the RTX Remix platform, which recently exited its beta phase, to modernize beloved classic games with advanced visual technologies. The platform allows modders to integrate features like ray tracing, path tracing, DLSS 4, and Multi Frame Generation, breathing new life into older titles.

- Best Use of RTX in a Mod: $10,000 cash prize for the mod that best utilizes RTX Remix to realistically affect scenes, showcasing atmospheric effects, dynamic lighting, and path tracing.
- Most Complete RTX Mod: $10,000 cash prize for the most fully playable remaster, with multiple levels or an entire game modded, reflecting high quality throughout.
- Community Choice RTX Mod: $10,000 cash prize, with the winner chosen by community votes on ModDB after the submission period ends.
All winners will also receive six months of GeForce NOW Ultimate.
The Power of RTX Remix
RTX Remix is an AI-enhanced modding toolkit that enables the conversion of older game engines into modern ones. It allows modders to capture and reassemble game elements like textures, models, and lighting into an editable scene. The platform supports AI-enhanced textures and the integration of DLSS 4 for improved image quality and performance. NRC, a neural shader, uses AI to estimate accurate indirect lighting, enhancing visual fidelity and performance. This update dramatically boosts performance, with GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs seeing up to an 11.4X increase in 4K performance, allowing for smoother and more immersive gameplay.
