OCZ Trion 100 Solid State Drive Overview
The OCZ Trion 100 is your typical 2.5-inch solid state drive. On the top of the drive there is the OCZ Storage Solutions logo on it lets us know it is the Trion 100.
The drive is a 7mm drive so it will fit in many smaller devices no problem. OCZ does not supply a 7mm to 9.5mm adapter though. On each side you will find two mounting holes.
On one end of the drive you will find your typical SATA power and data connections.
On the back of the drive there is a smaller sticker with all of your serial numbers etc. There are also four more mounting holes on the bottom of the drive.
I opted to not open the drive this time. OCZ actually puts the screws to remove the casing behind the sticker on the top of the drive. Inside the drive you will find Toshiba’s second generation 128Gbit A19 TLC NAND, Toshiba’s TC58 SSD controller, and a Nanya DRAM cache chip. Sadly there is really not that much information available on the TC58 controller.
