Final Thoughts
While flash drive are not something super flashy, they are a necessary tool for a lot of people. They make it quite easy to transfer files from system to system, use as a boot drive, or have a catalog of software on hand at all times. Patriot’s Supersonic Rage Prime is a great flash drive that is plenty fast too! We saw speeds up to the advertised 600 MB/s, but in some of our tests the speeds reached around 1000 MB/s, which is really impressive! Having that type of speed is going to make transfers almost instant! We are getting very close to the performance level of portable SSDs, but you have a much smaller profile.
On top of that you can get this drive in capacities up to 1TB. That means that it is not just for quick transfer of small files, but quite large files and even games! I think if anything I would have liked to see a metal enclosure on the drive. With its speeds its a top performer, but the plastic enclosure really makes it feel like pretty much any other flash drive. I did like the retractable USB-A connector though, this type of design protects the connector.
