RGB Slows Down the Drive?
So we were told by Patriot that enabling certain RGB effects will actually slow down the drive so we wanted to test thing. For reference here is our initial CrystalDiskMark run with no software running or installed.
Here are is the same test running the Viper software effects.
As you can see the write speeds do take a slight hit. Here is the test again with Gigabyte’s RGB Fusion effects.
So it appears that the drive takes more of a hit using your motherboard’s RGB software.
