Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ITX Special Edition Overview
For a full overview of the Enthoo Evolv ITX Special Edition Case be sure to check out our video below.
As I said the Special Editions of the Enthoo Evolv ITX come in two different color variants. There is white with black interior and black with red interior, which we received. The Evolv ITX is simply a smaller version of Phantek’s Enthoo Evolv. The Enthoo Evolv ITX of course supports mini-ITX motherboards. The official dimensions of the case are 230 mm x 375 mm x 395 mm (W x H x D) so it is not the smallest ITX case we’ve seen, but not the largest either. The case is mainly made of steel and plastic.
Starting at the front of the case we have a very clean front. There are no optical drive bays on this case at all. Towards the top of the case there are two USB 3.0 ports and HD audio connections. Towards the bottom there is a LED strip that will light up red.
If you pull the front panel up from the bottom it will easily pop off. This reveals a large fan filter that takes up the entire front of the case and behind that is a 200 mm intake fan.
The top of the case is pretty plain, there are not the typical ventilation holes on the top. Instead they are on each side of the top panel. This will allow air to be exhausted out of the case. Phanteks has made the ventilation sections match the interior of the case, which is a nice touch. The power button is also located on the top of the case.
The main side panel has a very large window that will allow you to show off all of your hardware inside.
Moving around to the back there is a large ventilated section that will support either a 120 mm or 140 mm cooling fan. The power supply is mounted on the bottom of the case like a typical ATX case and this case supports full-size ATX power supplies. There is a pull-out filter on the bottom of the case as well.
One cool little thing that Phanteks has done on this case is add rubber washers to the thumbscrews on the side panels. Thumbscrews typically will damage the paint on the side panel of the case over time, this prevents that.
